Seal of Biliteracy

An endorsed diploma for biliteracy is a credential given by a Ellicott School District recognizing students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. Biliteracy is tha ability to read and write in two languages. Proficiency in both languages must be proven and documented before the award can be conferred upon a graduate. Students that earn the seal will receive an endorcement on their diploma as well as an honor cord.

An endorsed diploma encourages students to pursue biliteracy skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions office.
