2025 Graduation Requirements

For the class of 2025, a total of 26 credits earned during grades nine through twelve are required for graduation.  A credit is defined as the amount of credit given for the successful completion of a course which meets four days per week for a minimum of 50 minutes daily for at least 36 weeks or the equivalent.  Successful completion means that the student obtained a passing grade for the course and was in attendance 80% of the time class met.

The following criteria shall entitle a student to a high school diploma:

• Achievement in content standards as demonstrated by mastery of the curriculum which may include, but is not limited to, daily classroom assignments, the Colorado Student Assessment Program, the district assessment program, classroom assessments, and student participation in, and completion of, assigned projects.
• Completion of 26 credits in grades nine through twelve in the prescribed categories listed below.
• Completion of the requirements and goals as listed on a student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) which may include modified content standards.

Minimum Required Credits/Courses:

Four (4) credits Math

Four (4) credits Language Arts

Four (4) credits Science

Four (3.5) credits Social Studies

One (1) credit PE/Health

One (1) credits Foreign Language

Eight (8.5) credits Electives

50+ hours of community service

State Graduation Guidelines

Colorado Graduation Guidelines are a road map to help students and their families plan for success after high school. In order to graduate from high school, students choose from a Menu of Options - adopted at the local school board level - to demonstrate Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness (PWR) in English and math. The guidelines go into effect for the Class of 2021.

Graduates must demonstrate readiness in one English measure AND one math measure, BUT it does not have to be from the same measure. (i.e. you can use your ACCUPLACER English score and your SAT Math score)
