Colleges and career schools use the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form to determine how much financial aid you're eligible to receive, which could include grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. This form is to be completed by students and parents/guardians during the student's senior year of high school. It is recommended that all families complete the FAFSA so that eligibility is determined.
The websites below can be used to search general scholarships. If a student is interested in a particular college, we also suggest researching the school to see what school-specific scholarships are offered. College-specific scholarships generally open January 1st and close around March, depending on the specific college.
For your convenience, EHS also has scholarship books available to check out and look through. Please see a counselor for more information.
EHS has created a Google folder with all Ellicott-specific and local scholarship applications. Each scholarship has its own requirements and deadlines. For more information or if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to a counselor.
