Welcome Message
2024-2025 Principal's Message
Welcome to Ellicott High School. We are excited to begin the 2024-25 school year. It has been a great summer, and the Ellicott High School staff is eager to get back to our students. Over the summer, teachers have been attending trainings, planning, and collaborating to best serve our students.
Ellicott High School will be a place of opportunity for all. In the past couple years, we have built upon our concurrent enrollment options by adding Degree Start through PPSC. Students are able to earn up to 30 college credits while still being a high school student through coursework created specifically for Ellicott High School students. In addition to having a top Welding program, we have expanded the trades by adding Culinary and expanding the woods program.
Ellicott School District leadership and the Board of Education have committed to providing new academic opportunities for our students. We are thankful for all the resources offered to continually provide opportunities for students. The high school created some new classes such as Cybersecurity and Animal Agriculture in the 2023-24 school year. This school year, we are especially excited about Freshmen Academy which aims to support Freshmen in adapting to high school. Students will explore various topics including health and wellness, study habits, and life skills. Ellicott also prioritizes providing technology literacy opportunities to match our ever-changing world.
Ellicott also offers many different clubs and activities for our students. What is unique to Ellicott is that any student can participate in any activity, club, or student organization. The only requirement is the effort and the energy of the student. We hope that all of our students can find an activity that matches their interests, and we are always open to meeting our students' needs in this regard.
We are very proud of the students here at Ellicott High School. The entire staff at the high school can't wait to see our young men and women grow into productive members of our community and the world.
